Most residents occupy
single rooms. However, there are still a few shared rooms,
these are usually quite large and the occupants have shared for
a number of years. Any new resident would have a single room.
The House employs a full time cook and a
varied menu is always available for residents to choose from. The
main meal of the day is provided in the evening and the food is
always of a very high standard, many of the vegetables are grown
in our own garden and picked fresh. Special diets are available
when requested.
This is looked after by individual key workers who arrange visits
to the doctor or dentist when necessary. A chiropodist attends regularly.
For residents who like to spend their leisure
time at home there are many amenities.
There is a games room with a pool and soccer table;
three sitting rooms all equipped with wide screen televisions. There
is a hi-fi system installed for disco dancing in the dining room.
Some residents prefer to relax in their
own rooms or in the garden on summer evenings.
