The day begins at Burlingham
House with breakfast followed by most of the residents departing on
mini buses for Day Care Services where they will have a varied programme
of activities. However, some residents do remain at Burlingham because
of age or disability and others might have three days at a Day Centre
and the remainder at Burlingham. Physical work occupies a relatively
small proportion of the week. Meal preparation and keep fit classes
are held, there are various outings such as swimming, visiting friends
and relatives or shopping.
Each resident has their own key worker who looks after their individual
needs – keeps their bedroom tidy, takes them shopping and listens
to any
problems. |
